SERVICE TERMS

Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of the Vital Readout public beta.

Effective and last updated: September 10, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vital Readout, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of the Service

Vital Readout uses artificial intelligence to provide plain-language explanations of eligible administrative documents. Results are informational, may be incomplete or incorrect, and are not authoritative interpretations of the original document.

3. AI Disclaimer

This is an AI-generated plain-language explanation and may contain errors. It is not medical, legal, financial, insurance or professional advice. Verify important deadlines, amounts and requirements with the document sender or a qualified professional.

You are responsible for reviewing the original document and verifying important information before taking or delaying any action.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You may submit only documents you own or are authorized to use. Vital Readout may refuse, restrict, or block submissions or access that violate these rules.

  • Do not upload medical records or protected health information.
  • Do not upload Social Security numbers, payment-card information, passwords, or authentication credentials.
  • Do not upload legal case files or other highly sensitive documents.
  • Do not submit another person’s document without authorization.
  • Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or deceptive purposes.
  • Do not attempt to access another user’s information.
  • Do not introduce malware, malicious code, or automated attacks.
  • Do not circumvent upload limits, security controls, or rate limits.
  • Do not use Vital Readout to make automated decisions affecting another person.
  • Do not copy, scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer the service without permission.

5. Document Ownership and Permission

You retain ownership of documents you are authorized to submit. By submitting a document, you give Vital Readout and its service providers limited, temporary permission to process it solely to provide, secure, and operate the requested service.

You represent that you have the ownership, permission, and legal authority needed to submit the document. Vital Readout does not claim ownership of submitted documents.

6. Vital Readout Intellectual Property

The Vital Readout name, logo, website design, software, prompts, workflows, and original website content belong to Vital Readout or its licensors.

You may use your generated explanation for personal or internal business purposes subject to these Terms. You may not present an AI explanation as an official document issued by Vital Readout or by the original document sender.

7. No Professional Advice

Vital Readout does not provide medical, legal, financial, insurance, tax, or other professional advice. Use of the service does not create a professional-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, insurer-insured, or similar relationship.

8. Accuracy and User Responsibility

Compare every result with the original document. Do not rely on Vital Readout as the sole source for deadlines, payment amounts, eligibility, rights, obligations, or consequences.

Contact the document sender or an appropriate qualified professional whenever information is important, unclear, or time-sensitive.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vital Readout and its service providers are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from reliance on an AI explanation, a missed deadline, an incorrect interpretation, unavailable service, an unauthorized submission, or a decision made using a result.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Any liability that may lawfully be limited will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the public beta is provided “as is” and “as available.” Vital Readout does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete accuracy, suitability for a particular purpose, or error-free results.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you may be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses resulting from documents you submit without permission, unlawful use, infringement of another person’s rights, or a material violation of these Terms.

12. Suspension and Termination

Vital Readout may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate misuse, enforce these Terms, or protect the service.

13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Before filing a claim, contact privacy@vitalreadout.com and make a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute informally.

California law governs these Terms, without overriding consumer protections that legally apply where you live. Unless applicable law requires another location, disputes will be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in Orange County, California.

These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a jury-trial waiver, or a class-action waiver.

14. Changes to These Terms

Vital Readout may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. The revised effective date will be posted here. Material changes may receive additional notice where required.

15. Contact

For legal or privacy questions, contact privacy@vitalreadout.com. Do not include documents or sensitive personal information in your email.

Working legal draft: These terms have not been represented as reviewed or approved by an attorney. Qualified counsel should review the final terms, business identity, practices, vendors, and applicable jurisdictions before unrestricted public launch.
